For over 15 years, Chris Sietsema has educated, trained and shared knowledge with some of the top brands in the country. He can answer (or find the answer for) almost any question, and is a seasoned and effective public speaker and trainer.
With knowledge of and a passion for search, email, social media, and analytics, Chris brings a wealth of understanding and a friendly disposition to every client engagement. Throughout his career, he has focused on helping businesses make smart decisions based on well-founded metrics. His mission is simple: bring about a better condition with an honest, transparent, and educational approach to solving digital marketing problems.
Prior to founding Metrics Agency, Chris founded the successful consultancy, Teach to Fish Digital, and served as head of operations for two major digital agencies, and also managed email marketing and lead generation operations for a Fortune 500 homebuilding company. He lives on a little orange grove in the desert with his jovial wife and two energetic boys.
Chris has spent his career developing leadership teams and building strategies for Fortune 500 clients across a variety of industries. Through senior executive roles, Chris has extensive experience delivering growth for top brands including Disney, Google, Nike, ESPN, P&G, Qualcomm, Intel, NFL, OfficeMax, Intuit and Experian.
Book is a skilled operator, with an industry background spanning brick & mortar retail and e-commerce, technology, and media & entertainment. He has a proven track record of using data to develop winning strategies, lead change, and facilitate execution.
Prior to Metrics Agency, Chris was Head of E-Commerce at Sears Holdings (Sears & Kmart parent company), where he lead a turnaround of the company’s multi-billion dollar e-commerce business unit and guided the group to profitability. Prior to that, he served as Head of Strategy, Analytics & Expense Management where lead corporate strategy functions and oversaw the company’s $10B expense budget, including a strategic restructuring and transformation of the company’s operations.
Before joining Sears, Book was CEO and Co-Founder of customer engagement company ChatterPlug (and its healthcare division, PatientConnecter). He still serves as Chairman of the ChatterPlug Board of Directors.
Book received his MBA from Northwestern University’s Kellogg School of Management. He is married with identical twin boys and a golden retriever, and he is an avid wine collector. Together the Book family spends their time skiing, paddleboarding, and cycling around the world.
